Lady and Gentleman,
I am very happy to show you my pet project. Return Of The Living Dead Sketch cards! Since this is one of the films I’ve seen more than my own reflection I have decided to create a super limited set of 99 sketch cards. Each one original. Depicting characters, scenes and scenes I wish were in the film.
Cards are 16pt (a pretty damn thick card stock) have full color printing announcing my excitement on the back, and my own handmade logo printed on the front.
Each card is hand numbered on the back.
I will be posting 5 card every monday (just about) on the Taco Comics store for the hungry price of 7.50 each.
Also once a week I’ll be taking 2 commissions on ebay.
Damn, this is gonna be fun!!

Happy New Years!! Be Safe, and don’t spill beer.

Here is the sketch that inspired the page shown written by Daniel Corey Writer for the current image comic Moriarty.

Here was what I did….

Please don’t drink as much as I am. I want those drinks too.

Here is one of three pages I am drawing from a few awesome writers I met. This page was written by Joshua Hale Fialkov
Glad he took the time to write it.

I’m happy to report I’m pretty damn busy lately. I kinda always am anyways, but the thought bubble is bigger and inspiration is at hand, so I’m charging.
This past weekend I got to hang out with some pretty awesome people. Comic writers and artists living the dream. I felt like a freshman at the senior bench. Not at all calling these guys old, just a hell of a lot further in the direction I want to be.
My friends Mike and Max at Pulp Fiction Comics in Long Beach put together a “Creator Spotlight Day” at the shop. I was able to pop up the table to do some sketches for new friends and show off some work. I was along side Richard Starkings, Joshua Hale Fialkov, Tony Fleecs, Georges Jeanty, Christos Gage, Daniel Corey and Zen.
I asked the writers Josh, Christos and Daniel if they would write a one pager of anything they want me to draw. Being the cool fuckers they are, they did.
I’ll be posting those in about a week.
That Being said, I am also working with a writer\director friend of mine named Josh Mihal. The Title is still unsecure, but “Scared” Is what I’m playing around with. This picture shown is a the official inked cover, but the text logo and colors have not been permanently set.

The sample cover of "SCARED"

As far as the story…well, Josh Is the writer of this, so I’ll let him make the statement when he’s ready, but I’ve done the first two pages and I’m already liking it a lot. Not too many secrets to a scare crow horror comics, but the creep factor has got me giddy.
Lastly Tarzan!
Anyone who has talked to me lately knows I was drawing Tarzan Sketch cards for Edgar Rice Burroughs and the awesome folks at Cryptozoic Entertainment. They know cause I wont shut up about it. I had a real fun time doing these. Read a bit of Tarzan to try and make the coolest cards I could. I have to let you guys know I got a light scolding due to my “Phallic and inappropriate” banana card. I swear it was unintentional. Never the less it was rejected to never see the light of day. I can’t even show it. Sorry :( .
Time to go, but I want to mention I have an underhanded sketch card project to show hopefully next week. I promise to do my best to not disappoint you.
D.

Let’s start off with Long Beach Comic Con.
I booked a last minute table, set up, had an awesome time! (*note:my eye lid just went inside out by accident).
Next, Series 1 Taco Comics Sketch cards. I have produced a limited run of 500 sketch cards I will be trading with friends. The scheme is simple…
Draw 1 sketch card for me I give you 2 (Blanks) to draw what ever you want. Keep it, sell it, trade it. It’s up to you. Just contact me and I can have it shipped to you right away. Here are a few friends that have agreed to said deal…

Also, in a couple of weeks I will be doing some Live art in Huntington Beach at DJ Culture for they’re 9 year anniversary. Located in Old World (This badass place thats’ set up to look like old germany). There will be some custom figures of mine there along with Other Retail Vinyl figures. Not to mention live Dj’s.

and last but not least I will be contributing a few sketch cards that will be randomly inserted in Edgar Rice Burrough’s Tarzan 100 year anniversary trading card set. Releasing 2012. I’m not yet allowed to show images (not even sure I should even be mentioning it), but when I am, I assure you I will be blasting them!
Thanks for reading guys.

Well, they have names now. The one with the jeans now calls himself “Malo” Cuete and the one with the vest is “El Happy”. I don’t think they’re play anymore.
